Hello again, and welcome back!
As I write this entry, Uranus, God of the Sky, is at 3 degrees Aries. Uranus will be in the sign of Aries for 6 more years or so, turning up the volume on our individual and collective restlessness and need for innovation, freedom from that which has been too constraining, and even revolution. Uranus will be expressing itself within the sign of the Ram, Aries, which always seeks to be independent, to lead far ahead of the pack, and to assert its own sense of self.
In short, I think that you can expect to see an increased interest and development of technology which amplifies or aids the whims and opinions of the individual. There are already hints at some amazing breakthroughs coming in battery technology, and the research currently underway at the Hadron collider may not only upend Einstein's theory of relativity, but provide untold opportunities to advance our overall technological platform. Certainly groundbreaking stuff!
This is also a highly potent energetic window for the pioneer spirit being expressed through transportation and exploration. In fact, the last time Uranus was in Aries was between 1928 and 1935, when Charles Lindbergh flew across the Atlantic ocean non-stop, and Amelia Earhart was busy setting numerous altitude and distance records, and also trying her skills at air racing. During this same time, Admiral Richard Byrd undertook the first expedition to Antarctica.
Of course, there are precautions to all transits, and this one is no different. I also expect that there will be repeats of the 'Arab Spring' in other parts of the world where people are tired of the way things have been run for the past many years. However, because Aries is a fire sign, we need to be particularly aware that the potential for the excessive use of force will also be higher than it usually is, and this could lead to some pretty ugly confrontations wherever people choose to protest or even revolt. We have to remember during this time that changes can be made--on all levels, and for both individuals and entire countries-- while we are calm and clear in our communications! As always, it's easier said than done, but nevertheless, it's just another little part of our true work here on Earth.
